Timeline

July 20th 2009 – First trip to doctors with “alcohol pain”. Brushed off.

July 27th 2009 – Second trip to doctors. Sent for bloods.

August 6th 2009 – Bloods taken.

August 17th 2009 – Bloods clear. No further action. Come back in a few months if the pain persists.

November 30th 2009 – Back to docs. Referred for chest x-ray

December 1st 2009 –  Chest x-ray

December 4th 2009 – CT scan

December 8th 2009 – Seen at Selly Oak. Told it was more likely to be a cyst than a lymphoma. Referred to chest clinic to see about getting said cyst removed.

January 14th 2009 – Seen at chest clinic. Again told it looks like a cyst. Surgery procedure explained.

January 29th 2010 – Surgery done. “Cyst” not removed, but biopsy taken.

February 9th 2010 – Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin’s Lymphoma diagnosed.

February 12th 2010 – PET scan

February 16th 2010 – Staged as IVa

February 19th 2010 – Bone Marrow biopsy – OUCH!

February 24th 2010 – ABVD Cycle 1, Treatment 1 DONE!

March 2nd 2010 – Bone marrow results – CLEAR!!!

March 10th 2010 – ABVD Cycle 1, Treatment 2 DONE!

March 24th 2010 – ABVD Cycle 2, Treatment 1 DONE!

April 7th 2010 – ABVD Cycle 2, Treatment 2 DONE! White cell count pretty much non existent, neulasta injections prescribed.

April 19th 2010 – PET Scan

April 20th 2010 – Results say tumour is gone, with very few active cells.

April 21st 2010 – ABVD Cycle 3, Treatment 1 DONE!

May 5th 2010 – ABVD Cycle 3, Treatment 2 DONE! HALFWAY!!!!

May 19th 2010 – ABVD Cycle 4, Treatment 1 DONE!

June 2nd 2010 – ABVD Cycle 4, Treatment 2 DONE!

June 7th 2010 – Ultrasound and needle biopsy of thyroid

June 15th 2010 – Admitted to hospital with suspected PCP pneumonia.

June 16th 2010 – Spent a night in ITU

June 22nd 2010 – Discharged from hospital

June 30th 2010 – Cycle 5, Treatment 1 DONE!!

July 14th 2010 – Cycle 5, Treatment 2, DONE!!

July 28th 2010 – Cycle 6 , Treatment 1 DONE!!

August 9th 2010 – Appointment to see ENT consultant

August 11th 2010 – MY LAST CHEMO!!

September 23rd 2010 – End of treatment scan

September 28th 2010 – REMISSION!

November 4th 2010 – Thyroid Surgery

December 15th 2010 – Papillary Thyroid Cancer diagnosis

January 14th 2011 – More thyroid surgery scheduled, cancelled on the day.

February 11th 2011 – Complete thyroid removal
